UNITED STATES HYPERSONIC MISSILE TEST FAILS
Failure comes after China successfully tested its own nuclear capable missile
The Pentagon sources said its latest test of a hypersonic missile failed. The booster rocket carrying the AGM-183 didn’t ignite. The test was to validate certain areas of the hypersonic weapon development two of the sources said.
The United States, Russia and China have quicken the pace of developing terrifying hypersonic missiles which are upgrades of the cruise and inter continental ballistic missiles. Hypersonic missiles are the 5G of nuclear missiles faster than cruise missiles and ICBMs, they are able to evade detection and ballistic missile defences.
President Joe Biden of the United States was rattled on Wednesday after the Financial Times ran a report that the Chinese successfully tested a nuclear hypersonic missile.
Two US corporations Raytheon and Lockheed Martin are working on the development of US hypersonic missiles and their share prices dropped when news of the failure leaked.
