Anti abortion vigil in Leeds gathers momentum as 2019 data shows over 5000 abortions were performed in Leeds alone
Since September 22, Mr Chris Redding of the anti-abortion group 40 Days for Life has held a prayer vigil outside the MSI Reproductive Choices on Barracks Road.
In an interview with All The News, Mr Redding said; “There are over 5000 abortions provided in Leeds alone, of those 2,860 were provided by MSI Reproductive Choices in 2019.”
“40 Days for Life is a peaceful prayer vigil and public witness campaign outside abortion centres. It has grown to a worldwide phenomenon with prayer vigils now organised in countries across the globe and it grows stronger every year.”
When asked what has 40 Days for Life achieved since it began its campaign outside abortion centres. He said; ” 18,816 babies saved from abortion, 206 abortion workers were converted and 107 abortion centres closed.”
“Through prayer and fasting, peaceful vigils and community outreach we have inspired 1 million people worldwide.”
Chris pleaded for more help for those whose lives have been affected by abortion.
The 40 Days for Life campaign concludes on All Hallows Eve October 31.
