After the intervention and overthrow of Colonel Muammar Ghaddafi oil production dropped to 300,00 barrels a day.
Before the intervention the GDP was $75 billion and its now $35 billion in 2021. Once one of Africa’s richest countries 1 in 3 Libyans live in abject poverty and has spawned the refugee crisis which threatens to destabilise Europe.
