FAKE DOCTOR SCAMS WOMEN INTO VAGINAL CHECKS ONLINE

An unidentified 40 year old man has been arrested by Italian police for posing as a fake gynaecologist. His arrest comes following complaints from some of his victims to the police. Italian media reports.
The suspect apparently harvested names, date of births, phone numbers and medical histories from websites then proceeded to contact the women telling that he was aware of their medical history. Informing them they could book a Zoom session with him where he allegedly inspected their vaginas and told them they have a severe infection.
Over 400 women fell victim to the scam, the rest suspicious of his motives reported the matter to the police.
This week the Italian prosecutor office ordered the police to arrest and search the suspect’s house. Computers, smartphones and memory cards were seized. Investigation into the case now classed as sexual violence is ongoing.
