Nigeria’s Labour Party presidential flagbearer Peter Obi says

Peter Obi the Labour Party (LP) presidential flagbearer, on Saturday, warned that Nigeria might not survive the aftermath of not voting in the right leadership for a new and better Nigeria in the 2023 elections.

The alarm was sounded in Umuahia, Abia State where the popular presidential candidate spoke at a function urging Nigerians to join in the ongoing efforts to rescue the country from political hijackers and corrupt politicians. The former Governor of Anambra state who is currently on a nation wide sensitisation tour meeting state governors to explain that foisting bad leaders on Nigerians in 2023 will have disastrous implications.

“I’m meeting all the Governors to tell them that very soon, if we fail to do the right thing there will be anarchy in the land that will consume everybody.” He said.

“Whether you are a Governor or a Bishop or anything, everybody will be consumed. I’m warning everybody, let’s fix this place now before it gets worse. It’s time to take back our country and rebuild it!” He added.

At the public forum he further went on to say as a former governor he does not receive any pension unlike former governor of Lagos State Alhaji Bola Ahmed Tinubu the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) presidential candidate who pockets almost N500 million annually in pension and benefits.

“Since I left office eight years ago but I have never received any pension. Anambra State has never bought me any pure water because governors should not have any retirement package. You came to serve and when you finish go home. God has has blessed you enough. Whatever power God has given you, it’s by grace. Don’t abuse the grace of God.” The LP presidential candidate warned.

“We must stop abusing God’s grace in this country and use public funds to serve the people.”
