Nigerian Afrobeats music star Davido signs multi million dollar endorsement deal with iconic sportswear giant Puma
The Nigerian Afrobeats music star Davido has signed a multi million dollar deal with the iconic sportswear giant Puma to produce his own line of clothing.
This was announced in press release by the clothing company on Friday from its headquarters in Herzogenaurach, Germany. The Sportstyle collection in collaboration with the Nigerian star hooks his philosophy of supporting others.
The collection a glamorous mix of Nigerian culture and current trends, consists of a tracksuit, t-shirts, shorts, and hats, featuring the lively green and white colours of his country’s flag. Each piece carefully crafted by Davido to ensure comfort and style. The tracksuit along with the t-shirts, shorts, and hats can be worn on various occasions.
“I felt inspired by the philanthropic work of my father which had a strong influence on my own philosophy in life.” The musician said while working on the collection.
“’We rise by lifting others’ is a quote I always loved,” said Davido. “It means that as I grow, I want other people to grow with me.” Each piece of the collection emblazoned with the same motto.
This philosophy Puma believes will resonate with the millions of Davido’s fans worldwide as wearing the outfits will encourage others around them.
“Davido is one of Africa’s most successful music artists with more than 20 million followers on social media and four successful albums to his name.” The company stated.
